Meet the Bulldog Pantry Team

We are a small team of dedicated people. We love what we do, and we do it with passion. We look forward to working with you.

Heidy

Student Coordinator

Hello! My name is Heidy and this is my 4th year being a student coordinator at the Bulldog Pantry. I started interning at the Bulldog Pantry as a freshman at Fresno State. I graduated in 2017 from Porterville High School. I am majoring in Sociology and minoring in Civic Urban Education and Humanics. I saw interning at the Bulldog Pantry as a great opportunity for me to enhance my civic engagement through volunteer service in a prominent social issue that is food insecurity. I can say that the Bulldog Pantry has had a huge positive impact on my life in that I am able to develop communication, time management, organizing, and leadership skills. I also get to work closely in identifying, and addressing a social issue that impacts a significant number of our community members. I am glad that I made the choice to be apart of the Bulldog Pantry team and am excited to see what the future has in store for us!

Hermelinda

Student Coordinator

I am Hermelinda Hernandez and an English Major- Creative Writing at Fresno State. I have been with the Bulldog Pantry for one year and it has been a great experience so far. At this time I am unavailable to help out but once school begins I hope to continue my service with the Pantry.

Freddy

Student Coordinator

Hi! My name is Freddy and I am a criminal justice major here at Fresno State. This is my first semester here with the Bulldog Pantry, but it has been a very rewarding experience so far! I chose to become a student coordinator here because I wanted to help make sure people were fed during these crazy times we’re living in. I am very grateful to be a part of this great organization and am very excited to help out in any way that I can.

Sharity

Student Coordinator

Hello everyone! My name is Sharity Ficher and I am a sophomore at Fresno State majoring in pre-nursing with an emphasis in communicative disorders. I just finished a whole semester at the Bulldog Pantry and I couldn’t be more happier to be a part of this organization. At first I chose to become a student coordinator with the Pantry because I was looking to improve on skills that would benefit me in my major, but I soon came to realize that skills were not the only only thing I would receive. I found a staff that devotes so much time and effort in making sure our Fresno community is taken care of. I found myself getting more in touch with my community by creating bonds and friendships that I never would have expected. It’s amazing to see a community who cares for one another. It has been such a humbling and wonderful experience to be a part of this organization.

Erica

Coordinator

I have been privileged to work with the Student Coordinators of the Bulldog Pantry for 3 years now. As the president of the Lutheran Campus Ministry board I oversee the students who run the pantry. I am lucky to be able to volunteer my time to work along side the students. This is one way I live out my calling to “mend creation” that was instilled in me during my time as a student involved in Lutheran Campus Ministries of Fresno.
